Thursday 05/11- Bluefish, Bluefish, Bluefish!!!  Bluefish were just about everywhere throughout the day.  Several reports of double digit catches up to 16 pounds.  A few Striped Bass were reported in the 30 inch range as well.  Updates & photos follow in reverse chronological order. – John

9:45 PM Update- Had a flurry of activity the last hour or so.  Loads of people in with reports of insane bluefish action all along the beach this evening.  Weighed a 15.5 pound bluefish but no photo.  Jeff (left photo) stopped in with this 9 pound class bluefish.  Jeff also caught & released his first ever Striped Bass today.  Congrats Jeff!!!!  Then Pearl (right photo) stopped in with a new personal best fish.  The 12.44 pound, 36 inch long bluefish hit a bunker chunk from the mid-island surf.  Way to go Pearl !!!!  Nice fish.  Thanks to everyone for stopping in with your fish & reports. – John

7:50 PM Update- Crazy Bluefish action reported late this afternoon all along the mid-island surf area on bunker.  Double digit numbers for many anglers.  No pictures or weigh-ins this afternoon though.  Only a couple 30 inch size bass reported to us this afternoon.  No wonder with all the bluefish around.  Can’t wait to see what tonight & tomorrow brings. – John
2:45 PM Update- FRESH BUNKER Has Arrived!!!!  Also Joe Hettler (left photo) stopped in with this 11.93 pound bluefish today from the north end surf on bunker.  Bluefish reports continue to come in.  Pete (right photo) sent in this nice shot of a gator bluefish from YESTERDAY which he released.  Nice!! – John
11:50 AM Update- Live Surf Clams have Arrived.  Our Fresh Bunker is on the boat and on it’s way in.  Maybe 2 more hours or so.  Let you know when it gets here.  Bluefish reports continue.  Bob Daley (left photo) was just in and now leads our in-store bluefish tournament with this 16.18 pounder.  Bob beached the 38 inch blue from somewhere on an LBI beach using a bunker head.  Congrats Bob!!!  Dan Morski (right photo) sent in another “selfie” this morning and is loading up on bluefish using bunker. – John
